Mission & Vision

Operation Liberate is a human rights project that comes alongside and supports government authorities in rescuing victims of sex trafficking, exploitation, slavery and oppression, and in holding perpetrators of these offenses accountable for their crimes.  Operation Liberate is composed of teams of full and part, long term and temporary criminal justice and social service professionals who are highly qualified and passionate about their work.  These teams deploy to carefully selected overseas venues in which permanent Operation Liberate team members have forged relationships with local authorities in order to provide the above support and to train the indigenous relevant authorities in those target countries to confront these crimes independently.

The Need

Director of Investigations:
The Director of Investigations will be responsible for conducting, supervising and monitoring investigations on Operation Liberate cases in Costa Rica. Areas of casework will include sexual trafficking and exploitation of adults and minors. The Director of Investigations will liaise with local law enforcement officials to ensure that they intervene to rescue identified victims and arrest and charge identified perpetrators. Additionally, the Director of Investigations will provide training to investigative teams and indigenous law enforcement as needed.

Investigators:
Operation Liberate is seeking investigators to serve on our project in Costa Rica. The investigators will be responsible for insuring the project team’s success in achieving its goals of rescuing victims of sex trafficking and exploitation in that country by collaboration with police, other law enforcement officials and NGO partners.
